Find Your Playground Paradise at Kin Park

Kin Park turns a corner of Dawson Creek into an island escape! Thatched roofs and whimsical post toppers set the scene, so kids can imagine sandy shores far from northern BC. At its centre, a NU-Edge X Tower connects to a ramped Kid Builders structure, giving thrill-seekers and children of all abilities a shared place to play. Meanwhile, realistic stumps and rock walls add a natural playground touch. Beyond the playground, families can walk the Dawson Trail or play a game on the nearby sports courts. As a result, this themed playground has become a community hub for locals and travellers alike.

Rock Walls and Rope Climbers

Daring Adventures Start at Kin Park’s Tower

For kids ages 5 – 12, the NU-Edge X Tower at Kin Park offers a true test of strength. To begin with, two diamond rope climbers challenge their balance and coordination as they pull themselves higher. Next, a rock climbing wall lets them scale a realistic cliffside without the risk. Then the reward arrives: a 14′ spiral tunnel slide that whirls them through the dark and back out into the daylight! Similarly, a curvy climbing wall and an overhead ring ladder elsewhere in the playground keep them moving. Along the way, kids also build gross motor skills, plan their routes, and gain the confidence to try something new.

Spinners and Spring Riders

Kin Park Is an Island Built for Everyone

Inclusion shapes every corner of this playground. Above all, pour-in-place rubber surfacing covers the entire area, so children who use mobility devices move around with ease. In addition, ramps on the play structure lead to a double-wide slide, climbers, and activity panels, including a gear panel and a Simon Says panel. At ground level, a surface spinner and a ladybug spring rider bring exciting motion within reach. Furthermore, accessible outdoor musical instruments, such as chimes and a cabasa, invite kids to experiment with sound and rhythm. All in all, inclusive playground design means every Dawson Creek family can play together!

New playground is open for business. Kids loved it and want to go back again soon. Great spot to stop to have a quick picnic and let the kids burn off some steam before continuing on with the shopping or drive home.
