Father Michael Mireau School

Located in Edmonton’s Lake Summerside neighbourhood, our playground at Father Michael Mireau School is a touch of natural beauty. Built for all ages, this playground is divided into two distinct areas – one for toddlers and one for school-aged children. Each site brings its own unique blend of fun and adventure, creating an uplifting space where friendships bloom.

The toddler site is a splendid natural tableau, fit with realistic Log Stumps and a delightful Leaf Roof. Little ones can revel in the joy of our Tot Builders Playhouse and explore a variety of sensory activities. If that’s not enough, toddlers can also challenge themselves on an obstacle course of Balance Beams, Hop Rocks, and a Challenge Ladder.

Moving onto the larger site, you’ll be met with an impressive play structure boasting an Inclined Crawl Tunnel and a pair of Stainless Steel Slides. Not to mention, our rope climbing obstacle course is sure to challenge even the most daring climbers. But, the standout of this site has to be our 40 ft. long Rail Rider zipline!

For children in wheelchairs, they can easily transfer onto events like our Revolution Spinner – placed conveniently on rubber surfacing. In addition, there’s also our Scarlet the Ladybug Spring Rider, which is designed at transfer height. Adding onto the fun is our ADA Transfer Station, which provides kids of all abilities access to the main play structure.

And it doesn’t end there! Father Michael Mireau School also features a cozy picnic area, complete with a charming gazebo. Here, parents and teachers can socialize while supervising their children’s playtime. It’s also a great place to cool off under the shade, especially on those hot summer days. Or, if kids just need a bit of a break, they can relax here too.
