Eagle Ridge Community Centre

At the heart of Fort McMurray, AB, the Eagle Ridge Community Centre houses a playground that truly bursts with joy. This space is defined not just by its vibrant hues of teal and green, but also by its signature 3-story Mega Tower. A towering marvel at nearly 30’ tall, this play structure invites children to ascend to new heights!

Starting with climbers, this playground has plenty. Simple climbers, like the Duckwalk Climber, are great for beginners. But if thrills are what you’re after, try the Backtrack Climber instead! Aside from climbers, the play structure is also packed with a whopping five slides. Most notably, this includes two symmetrical S-Shaped Tube Slides, which are great for racing.

But that’s not all! Adventurous spirits will be thrilled with the selection of freestanding climbers. From the intertwining ropes of the Hover Net, to the geometric challenge of the JAX Pack, there’s something for everyone. If that’s not enough, fans of motion play can take a whirl on either the Barrel Ride or Solo Spin.

However, our vision for this playground extends beyond just fun. We deeply believe that play should be accessible to all children. That’s why we’ve equipped the main tower with a wheelchair ramp, ensuring everyone can join the fun. Furthermore, we’ve also included an Inclusive Swing Seat, allowing kids of all abilities to swing high up into the sky!

After all, playgrounds should be for everyone! At Eagle Ridge Community Centre, we’re committed to making this belief a reality. Whether being used by the two neighbouring schools or the local YMCA, this playground will quickly become a staple in the community. We invite you to come join us and explore this marvelous playground for yourselves!
