David Thomas King School

Embracing the heart of Edmonton, the playground at David Thomas King School serves as an oasis of joy and laughter. Its imaginative design, combining natural elements with contemporary features, is sure to captivate children’s hearts. This unique playground is divided into three distinct areas, each one tailor-made to suit different age groups and foster inclusive play.

The first area, designed for older children, houses our awe-inspiring PlayStax tree forts. Their “kid-built” aesthetic will encourage hours of pretend play, while also providing a safe challenge and excellent sightlines for caretakers. In addition, for those daring explorers, there’s an Inclined Crawl Tunnel to conquer, as well as a pair of Stainless Steel Slides to race down.

For our little adventurers, the junior play area offers an array of exciting events. Most notably, this includes an adorable tot structure with nature-themed climbers. Furthermore, this area features a challenging circuit of Balance Beams, Tire Climbers, and Pine Stumps. If that’s not enough, cute spring riders, like Nectar the Bumble Bee, will have kids giggling in no time!

And that’s not all! This playground also hosts a special area brimming with freestanding equipment. Here, you’ll find a super-fun Rail Rider zipline that gives kids the sensation of flying. Next, you’ll find a three-bay MaxPlay Swing Set that never goes out of style. Finally, to ensure all kids can participate, a Revolution Spinner and Raft Swing provide inclusive play opportunities.

In addition to the freestanding area, each play structure is designed with an ADA Transfer Station that provides access to wheelchair users. Because at David Thomas King School, we strive to create an inclusive play experience that caters to all children’s needs and interests. So, come join us! Let’s make memories together in this playground paradise.
