Experience Albert G. Nickel Park, a bold fusion of modern and natural play in Edmonton, AB.

Albert G. Nickel Park is a beacon of inclusivity and fun, setting a new standard for modernized playgrounds. This high-energy park is designed with an array of exhilarating features that cater to all kids, including those with mobility challenges. In addition, its daring combination of modern design and nature play makes it one of Edmonton’s most unique playgrounds!

The first thing you’ll notice is the plethora of rock climbers, which sets the stage for adventure. Whether it’s scaling our NU-Edge Rock Challenge wall, or summiting our Mt. Kilimanjaro boulder, kids will be challenged to push their limits. In contrast, industrial-inspired events like our Culvert Climbers and Stainless Steel Slides add a modern flare to this park.

But, this playground doesn’t stop at rock climbers! It also includes a variety of intriguing rope climbers like our Grand Strand, Silo Scramble, and Chaos Climber. These high-capacity climbers are great for fitting tons of kids at once, while also promoting cooperative play. Kids can help each other ascend to the top, or hold competitions to see who can get there first.

For the younger age group, there are plenty of freestanding activities to explore. This includes a medley of riveting motion play events like our MaxPlay Swings, Barrel Ride, and Wake Rider. And let’s not forget about imaginative play! Kids can practice make-believe scenarios with our Tot Builders Playhouse, or get into the groove while playing our Concerto Chimes.

Now, let’s talk about accessibility. Albert G. Nickel Park embraces inclusivity with its wheelchair-friendly design and easy-to-navigate rubber surfacing. Features like our Accelerator Swing and Scarlet the Ladybug Spring Rider ensure that all kids, regardless of abilities, can experience the thrill of motion play. Additionally, our ADA Transfer Station provides seamless access to the main play structure.
